NI Centers of Excellence

CoE

NI Centers of Excellence (CoEs) are research institutions, who in association with educational organizations, focus their research and applications on a specific domain, utilizing NI technology and providing worthwhile research achievements. Through research breakthroughs and discoveries, CoEs are able to provide a platform for academia-industry partnerships, exposing engineering students, professors and researchers to advanced technological advances with NI systems and solutions, designed to solve engineering and industrial challenges.

 

Mission of NI Centers of Excellence

  • To provide a conducive facility for development of technical and domain expertise among faculty members of the institute.
  • To bridge the gap of instrumentation for interdisciplinary requirements
  • To utilize the facility for community development in and around the region
  • To provide research papers that unveil innovative techniques of computer based design, analyses, measurement and control
  • To work closely with NI and NI technology, and collaborate to NI regional activities and initiatives.

NI Centers of Excellence Requirements

  • Implement graphical system design in teaching curriculums in a minimum of three engineering departments
  • Have a minimum of five Labs in each department based on Graphical System Design [Hardware and Software]
  • Have a minimum of two Certified LabVIEW Developer Instructors in the institution
  • Give a minimum of one course to students in which they learn how to develop & program using LabVIEW
  • Integrate hands-on, experiential learning and research using NI Technology
  • Develop engineering solutions using NI technology
  • Leverage technology in order to animate theory and demonstrate concepts
  • Participate in NI regional activities and initiatives
  • Provide internships opportunities for students to build industrial experience
