This role is for Engineering graduates across IndRAA
As a ELP Graduate on the 24 month programme you will support the business and learn about the company, products and customers we support. The programme starts with an initial 8 weeks of training on NI products, solutions and approaches. During this time you will have full support from your manager and team leader as well as current graduates on the programme.
- The ELP programme is to designed to prepare graduates to be future leaders within our business. As a Graduate on the programme you will support the business and learn about the company, products and customers we support, while developing key soft skills and business acumen. You will be responsible for driving your own career development, with support from your manager and many other stakeholders. You will typically start off your time in Applications Engineering, where you will be helping to deliver support to our customers who are using NI products. This could be telephone or email support and isn’t your standard ‘help desk’ approach – instead we pride ourselves in working in partnership with our customers and adopt a consultative approach to advising them whilst applying our technical knowhow and problem solving skills. You will also be required to deliver customer training courses in the office and/or customer sites, teaching them how to use NI products. You will be provided with an initial 5 weeks training in order to build your skills and expertise with NI products as well as an understanding of the business, whilst ongoing training and development will be more tailored as you work with your manager.
- After 6-12 months, you will rotate into Inside Sales. This is a unique insight into how we build up our customer base as well as work with existing customers on their on-going needs and requirements. In this role, you will be utilizing your technical knowledge of NI products and reaching out to customers to help them find the best solution to their engineering challenges. This is no traditional sales role – we operate off industry leads and repeat business meaning there is no cold calling! Instead Customers have heard of NI and what we do, allowing you more time to work them in developing the right solution.
- Following your time in the sales team, you may continue in either department, subject to business requirements, gaining new responsibilities. You will also be in a position to apply to the many diverse roles available to NI, whether it is a higher-level support or sales role, or a move into a technical marketing role, or into a management path.
You will be provided with regular support and ongoing training throughout the ELP programme. A lot of your learning will be on the job training where you will learn key skills in technical pre- and post-sales support. You will also find yourself running and delivering technical seminars and professional training to customers to help them get the best out of our products. You will be encouraged to look for opportunities to drive improvement within the roles, as you look to develop your own leadership skills.
ELP Engineers work together with the regional teams to serve customers across IndRAA Sales Offices.
ELP Program is currently followed at NI Sales offices across India, Middle East, Russia, South Africa and Armenia.
